TAFE-NSW Awards Diploma Qualification to GSTA Trainers
Eight trainers of Genting-Star Tourism Academy (GSTA) were awarded Diploma in Hospitality Management qualifications by The Technical and Further Education-New South Wales (TAFE NSW), Australia's largest Registered Training Organization (RTO), through South Western Sydney Institute (SWSI) as educational partner.
Congratulations to our Culinary Arts Students for making it to NCL
GSTA endorsed 17 of our Culinary Arts students for Norwegian Cruise Line last August. We were not surprised that ALL of them passed the interviews and they are now processing their papers to leave for the United States this October and November.
Genting-Star Tourism Academy is now offering Chefs "R" Us short culinary workshop series for kids, teens and adults. Through this lifestyle course, the participants experience cooking in a fun and exciting manner.
GSTA Participates in Department of Tourism 2011 Musikultura Project
GSTA trainers and trainees participated in the Department of Tourism's (DOT) 2011 Musikultura Project on June 17, 2011 held at Rizal Park, Manila. As part of the day's program, GSTA trainers gave series of lectures to OFWs recommended by Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA). Chef Raul Tamayo on demonstrated baking and decorating cakes; Ms. Sandra De Leon and Ms. Susan Tan provided lecture on Food & Beverage service; Ms. Avema Silva provided insights on Customer Care including Personality Development; while Mr. Iñigo Nebrida demonstrated creative towel folding.
